Let's see, it must have been about 1979. I was still underage and snuck into the Town House to see my very first drag show starring the late great Cleo. We got a booth right on the edge of the stage (where the DJ booth is now) and waited for the show to start. The show finally starts, Cleo comes on and proceeds to come right over to me and sit on my lap. I will never forget it as long as I live. Of course, when the spotlight was on us the bouncer got a better look at me and came right over and threw me out since I had no ID. My next visit was legal.

As a lesbian, there were not a lot of places to go...I met the love of my life at the Town House, but I was with someone else. She found someone also so she moved on. She was in love with a bartender who worked at the Town House, so I lost her. When my relationship broke up, and I looked for her, the bartender that she was with told me that she had passed away. I miss her to this day, and still wonder where we would be if she was still alive and with me...
